Single kayaks are for Project SOAR veterans only.

You are welcome to bring friend or family member (even if they are not veterans) if you sign up for a tandem kayak.

Please indicate if you are paddling with a child so we have the correctly sized life jackets available. Thank you!

This is a challenging paddle on moving water shared with large boats. We are putting into the Cape Fear River at River Road and paddling to Shark Tooth Island to collect shark teeth from the beach. Please be on time because the tide determines how much access we will have to the beach. Please only sign up if you have approval from our kayaking guide Chris after completing the Intro to Kayaking session or other qualifying activities.
