Play is ACCESS of Wilmington’s signature adapted sports program for all ages! Includes: Summer Events - Play Days at Miracle Field, Adaptive Cycling, Kayaking, Surf Camp, Basketball and so much more as well as holiday events!

Please note - some events require registration/sign up, others do not.
Participants and family/guardians/caretakers will be asked to sign in at the start of the activity acknowledging our liability and media release.
We ask that family/guardians/caretakers remain present during all activities.

Play & cycling days on the miracle field
fun on the field for everyone
No sign up required. Play days will offer various activities for participants to choose from and cycling days will have adaptive cycles to ride on the field! Additional family and friends are welcome to join! Please review the calendars above - most dates are separated by age group (18 and under or 18 and over), but this may vary depending on other programming that week.
If you plan to bring a large group of 10 or more, please contact Casie ahead of time.
Where: The Miracle Field in Olsen Park
When: Throughout the Summer from 9:00am-11:00am starting June 9th and ending August 7th. Refer to calendar above.
Tanner’s Miracle Meet up
Meet Tanner Smith from “Love on the Spectrum”!
Must purchase tickets to attend. We are so excited to announce Tanner from the Netflix series Love on the Spectrum will be coming to the Miracle Field. Bring out the whole family for a morning of games, fun and food! Contact Casie for information on tickets.

PEtting Zoo
at olsen park!
Sign up is required. Lazy Day Farm will be bringing their goats, mini pig and mini cow to Olsen Park! All ages welcome, additional family and friends are welcome to join.
Where: Olsen Park, near the Miracle Field
When: May 22nd 4:30pm-6:30pm
Visit Paws4people
at their castle hayne campus!
Sign up is required and will be released May 12th. Come learn more about Paws4People, tour the campus and play with puppies in training!
Where: 5000 Transformation Lane, Castle Hayne
When: June 4th 1:00pm-2:00pm
Open Gym Basketball
With the City of wilmington fire department
No sign up required, all ages welcome. We are excited to have members from the City of Wilmington Fire Department Basketball team at every date this summer! Additional family and friends are welcome to join! (Goals are adult/regulation sized).
Where: Grace United Methodist Church - 401 Grace St.
When: June 17th, July 1st, July 22nd, & August 5th from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
KAYAKING
at Smith Creek Park
Sign up is required and will be released May 12th. For ACCESS Participants only and 1 family member/caretaker/etc. to assist in a tandem kayak.
Please only sign up for 1 out of the 3 dates.
Dates: May 19th, June 11th, July 8th from 10:00am-11:00am.
Wilmington Sharks Events
Miracle League Skills Clinic
Sign up is required and will be released May 12th. Learn baseball skills from the best! Buddies/volunteers will not be present for this session.
Where: The Miracle Field in Olsen Park
When: June 18th from 9:00am-11:00am.
Tickets to the July 2nd Game
Sign up is required and will be released May 12th. ACCESS participants will be featured in the Pepsi Corner, and there will be fireworks after the game. Please do not sign up for more than 4 tickets total.

When: July 2nd 7:00pm
Ice skating
at polar ice wilmington
Sign up is required and will be released May 12th. If able, please bring someone to assist the participant on the ice if needed. Sleds will also be available to use and manual wheelchairs are allowed on the ice!

SURFING & Water Activities
With Ocean Cure!
Registration is required and will be released May 12th. Sessions will be filled on a first come basis. Completing registration does not guarantee a confirmed session. You will receive a confirmation email from Casie indicating whether your session(s) are confirmed or if you have been placed on the wait-list.
